reading this girl's blog
http://www.wretch.cc/blog/meltsinangie/, made me feel rather melancholic, and this rush to write in Chinese!! Melancholy cause I used to write and speak a whole lot of Chinese/Mandarin (darn, do i have to be so accurate all the timeeee) in River Valley.
And so the mad and rather confusing surfing around to try and get some free online software so that I can write in Chinese! But, nahh. I downloaded this silly penguin's Chi software, which started showing a lot of not unlike Webdings characters in textboxes, and I was tryin to guess at which button I was supposed to press. and finally I gave up, after the boy urged me to. (the web address didn't seem too secure) SIGH.
I think I'm writing a bit funny right now, cause all that reading of those Chinese entries has got me kinda thinking in Chi too. (like how I used to in sec sch!! at least i think so. hmmm)
Anyway, about the previous entry, I'm uber (allow me one act-cute word k) grateful for all those who tagged. :)) You guys have changed my mind about making my blog private, and I think I shall be writing more for quite some time. :)
Now that FM98.7 is blasting from the speakers, the English songs are starting to ebb away at any of those Chinese urges. SIGHHH. I'm starting to get what was written in Singapore Society notes, about the fact that Singaporean Chinese are the most deculturalised of the other races in the nation. It's quite true hur. and you know, that IS the official reason why SAP schools like RV were started?!?! it was to preserve the Chinese culture in Singapore.
No wonder we had to croon (and croak) the patriotic Chinese poem-schoolsong every morning. :)
can you hear the soft swoosh of the butterflies' wings. 12:52 AM.
